For trips starting after September 30, 2022, travelers will no longer be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Under30Experiences follows COVID guidelines under the direction of local government in terms of protocols to include but not limited to social distancing, masks, hand washing, temperature checks, outdoor seating, etc.

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 on a trip, you will be asked to test at your own expense. If the results are positive, you must self-isolate away from the group immediately. If a test is not available or you do not wish to test, you may be asked to isolate. You are responsible for any additional charges, including paying for your own room and transportation. Please keep a copy of your positive test result, and invoices for additional expenses incurred to submit to your travel insurance company.

If a traveler tests positive, they will be required to follow local authorities' quarantine requirements.

Please note as of January 2022, some countries have placed restrictions on those traveling from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau in the last 14 days. These restrictions are NOT listed below. Please research if this applies to you.
Country Entry Requirements

Each country has different entry requirements due to COVID-19. When booking your flight, please note that you are also responsible for any entry requirements in countries where you have a layover, even if you are not exiting the airport.

On June 12, 2022 the US Government lifted testing requirements for entrance into the United States.

If you are returning home to another country that is not the United States, you will be responsible for meeting the entrance requirements for that country.

Here is a brief list of special requirements to enter countries where we have trips operating in the next few months. These requirements change rapidly, so please stay up to date on entrance requirements as your trip date nears. Consult your local embassy for further details.

Please note that a "completed vaccination card" must show that you received your last dose of the vaccine more than 14 days before departure.

-Indonesia: Fully vaccinated travelers (with last dose administered more than 14 days prior to departure ) can enter Indonesia. International travelers must download and use PeduliLindungi app before departure.

Medically exempt travelers or those who have previously been infected with COVID-19 must show proof upon entering Indonesia. If valid proof is not shown, the traveler will need to undergo 5 day quarantine. More info here.

-South Africa: Upon arrival in the port of entry, the traveller will be screened for any COVID-19 symptoms or for contact with people who have been infected with the COVID-19 virus. Travelers will also need to provide proof of accommodation address should they need to self-quarantine at the time of arrival in the country. Should the traveller display any COVID-19–related symptoms or been in contact with an infected person(s), they will be expected to take a mandatory COVID-19 test. This test will be at the traveler’s cost. If the COVID-19 test comes back positive, the traveller will be subjected to a 10-day quarantine at a designated site. The accommodation at a quarantine site will be at the traveler’s cost.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

When a force majeure event, which occurs outside the reasonable control of either party, results in the suspension of your trip, we will suffer unrecoverable losses. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, political upsets, and pandemics.

We will always do our very best to manage all transfers and cancellations in response to a force majeure event, and want to ensure that you receive an amazing travel experience with us in the future. We are a very small company, and when you book a trip with us, the money we received for your trip goes directly to vendors abroad.  When we have an expected trip suspension, these vendors issue us some credit, if any at all, for lost reservations.  

Due to this, we are unable to issue refunds.  In the event of a trip suspension, we will offer our travelers a 100% credit of the price they paid valid for use towards any of our trips anywhere in the world.  

These credits never expire, there are no blackout dates, fees, and are giftable to a friend or family member. We appreciate your flexibility during an unprecedented global event, which ensures that our humble community receives incredible trips with us in the future.

Travel Insurance

Most travel insurance policies will not cover COVID-19 related cancellations due to fear of COVID.

If you're concerned with COVID-19, we recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes a Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) policy. Weigh your insurance options here.

Please note that many CFAR policies have stipulations regarding the time frame in which the insurance policy is purchased and the date your trip is initially booked.

For cancelations and changes if you test positive for COVID-19 abroad, our recommended travel insurance vendor is World Nomads. Please note to file a claim related to COVID-19, at home tests, without medical supervision are not accepted.
