Apple Podcasts Connect to be Temporarily Unavailable for Scheduled Maintenance

Maintenance to impact Apple Podcasts Connect.

Apple has notified podcast creators that its Apple Podcasts Connect platform will be temporarily inaccessible starting early on April 13th due to scheduled maintenance. In an email to creators with shows available on Apple Podcasts, the company warned that Apple Podcasts Connect and associated Analytics will be offline from 6AM PT for approximately two hours while maintenance is performed.

Apple Podcasts Connect is the portal through which podcast creators can submit and manage their shows on Apple Podcasts. It allows uploading media files and show art, adding episode descriptions and tags, as well as checking analytics metrics. Any updates or changes made on the site are generally live on Apple Podcasts within 24 hours.

Impact on Podcast Creators

The brief outage may cause minor inconveniences for some podcast creators. During the downtime, tasks like adding new episodes, updating show details, or viewing analytics will not be possible through the Apple Podcasts Connect dashboard. However, the disruption is only expected to last around two hours so most routine maintenance should not be significantly impacted. Any episodes or changes scheduled beyond the maintenance window should still be processed as normal once the site comes back online.

While the planned maintenance may cause a brief interruption to Apple Podcasts Connect access on April 13th, it is not anticipated to cause major problems for creators or listeners. As long as any important uploads or edits are scheduled before or after the two hour window, operations should be able to continue as normal with minimal disruption.
